*ETHICS E&O (L/H)
This course will provide a thorough list of basic ethical behavior of
agents. Review the legal responsibility of agents and the causes of
loss and reasons for losses that contribute to the problem.
IRA/ROTH/SIMPLE
With the several tax law changes including
Roth conversions, and many Private Letter Rulings, you will need
more than an update to figure out what changed and what may still
change. Learn the latest strategies in Roth, Traditional IRAs, along
with other qualified plans.
MA ELIGIBILITY & LTC PARTNERSHIP
(This is the 4 hr
update required 2 years after your initial 8 hr course.) All agents,
selling LTC or not, need to know the ins and outs of the MA issues
confronting seniors today. You have clients that don’t have a clue
what is coming at them: buy LTC or not; gift or not.
SOCIAL SECURITY
As the government continues to make plans
for the future, including the new national health care legislation,
learn how the system works today, what you pay, may get, and
benefits today. Learn what some want to do with the system and how
the proposals may affect you, including the future of Medicare
Prescription Drug coverage.
TAX PLANNING WITH LIFE INSURANCE
This class will
help you understand why some of us call the 2001 and 2003 tax bills,
the "life insurance sales enhancement act of 2001 & 2003". There
have been several additional tax laws since.
TAX PLANNING FOR SELF EMPLOYED
Weather self
employed or employee, learn what you and your client can legally
deduct on your tax return. Also, will cover retirement plan issues for
owners of businesses, and the various types of entities.
Property & Casualty Classes
AUTO ACCIDENT- THE TRIAL
We follow a claimant through the steps associated with litigation resulting from an auto accident.
The facts, the evidence and the decision.
*ETHICS & CLAIMS
This course will help agents understand the legal requirements of
claims handling, adjuster requirements, settlement offers, claim
denial process, and how the agent must handle there part in the entire
process from claim notification to payment of the claim or denial of
the claim.
*ETHICS E&O
This course will provide a thorough list of basic ethical behavior of
agents. Examples will be used along with questions asked of agents
on how the situation should be handled, discuss the results and
possibility of suits. The claims practices act, standards for auto
claims and unfair claims practices will also be covered.
HOMEOWNERS & CLAIMS HANDLING
This class will cover
the basic parts of the homeowner’s policy. Also, a part of the class
will educate agents about the requirements of claims handling,
including notification, submitting to company, follow-up, dealing
with denial of claims, and settlement offers made by adjusters.
HOMEOWNERS – THE TRIAL
This class is a simulated trial
involving homeowner risk management. The class will educate
agents on the process, from legal notices, depositions, witnesses,
expert witnesses, and more. Agents will have learned by participating
as the jury to determine negligence, and judgment/settlement.
HOMEOWNERS – THE WEDDING
This class is a simulation
of a trial following a wedding with a few incidents resulting in injury.
The class will participate as the jury. The goal is to educate agents on
risk management of the homeowner, the potential of claims, and how
settlements can be determined. This will help agents understand the
need for high liability limits and umbrella coverage’s.
HOMEOWNERS WITH CLAIMS
This class covers the
homeowner’s policy coverage’s, exclusions and limitations. Then a
list of endorsements that may cover some of the exclusions and
limitations. A series of questions will be asked of the class as a group
to decide if coverage exists, how uncovered losses could have been
covered and where umbrella policies fit.
*HOW TO LOSE YOUR LICENSE
This course is designed to satorically show Ahow to lose your license
by improper actions or procedures. It will show proper understanding
of legal requirements for practices and acts of agents. Also, covers
legal responsibility of agents, insurers and managers who are
responsible for other staff in the office.
UNDERWRITING COMMERCIAL & PERSONAL ACCOUNT
This class will educate the agent on commercial risk management of
property, liability, inland marine, crime, and commercial auto.
Specific exposures will be addressed to show agents gaps in the
standard policies, how to look for exposures on a business location
and how to address them with coverage’s. Personal underwriting of
the homeowners, auto, recreational vehicle and more will be covered.
